What is the importance of breathing?
90% of the population breathes incorrectly (and suboptimally). Breathing is the foundation of life, movement and performance. Without quality breathing, performance falls short in our physical and mental health. We at TFI teach individuals how to utilize their breath to increase performance, decrease stress and anxiety, improve sleep, improve energy levels, improve overall health and help make individuals more mindful. These breathing techniques have been studied and proven to promote positive changes in the body and mind. What is the importance of ergonomic coaching? We at TFI know the importance of proper posture and how it affects our body over time. Poor postural habits can create a multitude of problems from neck pain, shoulder pain, low back pain, headaches and much more. We want to give you the right tools to combat sitting all day at your desk and help reduce the likelihood of injury and pain. Studies have shown that jobs that involve sitting for hours can be more stressful on the body than a laborious job because the tissue does not get any rest when you are in a poor anatomical position. We can offer solutions to help your work desk setup and give you tips on your movement throughout the day to combat these stresses.
