
Michael Kane
(PTA)
Michael Kane is a 2017 graduate of the Physical Therapist Assistant program from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Sport from North Park University-Chicago in 2014.
With over 6 years of experience as a clinician in outpatient orthopedics, Mike emphasizes a hands-on approach with utilization of various manual therapy techniques to the rehabilitation process individually tailored to each patient. He has been trained in the use of the Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy approach and McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy.
He is a former collegiate baseball player (NJCAA Division 1- John A. Logan College/South Suburban College, NCAA Division 1- Northern Illinois University and Division 3- North Park University-Chicago) who was in and out of physical therapy during his high school and collegiate years with various injuries and is no stranger to the profession as a patient. Other baseball experiences include assistant coaching at the collegiate level in 2016-17 at John A. Logan College with a team that finished the season 40-13. He also has periodically coached with the Lincoln Park Baseball Academy skills camps focusing on the development of baseball fundamentals and teamwork dynamics.
Mike is a north side Chicago native who enjoys spending quality time with his family outside of physical therapy. He continues to participate in strength and conditioning as a means for overall well-being.
